In most cases, no. The Basic Knowledge module forms an important foundation. In this module, you learn how regulation works and how basic trust develops from pre-, peri-, and postnatal attachment. This knowledge is essential to effectively recognize what is happening at deeper levels within CREF-EMDR.
Exception

In a few cases, it is possible to take CREF-EMDR without first completing the Basic Knowledge module. Because CREF-EMDR works extensively with the prenatal blueprint and birth trauma, it is important that you have sufficient knowledge of:
  • recognizing prenatal and postnatal trauma
  • distinguishing early childhood trauma in the body
During an intake, we will assess whether your background and experience align sufficiently with this.

Training in the CREF method
The CREF method is a registered trademark. Therefore, it is not permitted to teach this method without a personal license as a recognized IKEV partner.

Train-the-Trainer & licenseDo you still wish to provide training within the CREF method yourself? Then you can join on an occasional basis via a Train-the-Trainer track, linked to a personal license.

Upon completion:
  • you provide training under your own company name
  • you work according to the guidelines of IKEV and the CREF method
  • you remain connected to the IKEV network
In this way, we jointly safeguard the quality and recognizability of the method. Interested? Would you like to explore if this suits you?
