IKEV stands for Institute for Core Transformation and Deepening. We are a training institute that focuses on personal development and therapeutic work at a deeper level.
IKEV was founded in 2011 by Baukje Fortuijn, the founder of the CREF method. The CREF method focuses on restoring basic trust when it has been damaged. This involves examining what is at play in early development, such as the pre- and postnatal period, attachment, and later (trauma) experiences. In recent years, many professionals have been trained in this method. The strength of CREF lies in the combination of insights and interventions that help to truly break patterns.
IKEV offers a wide range of training programs, courses, and workshops. These are suitable for care providers, coaches, therapists, and anyone wishing to deepen their personal understanding. The training programs are practice-oriented and combine theory with direct experience. An important part of our work is body-oriented therapy. The body often reveals what is difficult to achieve with words.
In addition, we also work with horses, which mirror what is going on inside in a direct and honest way. This combination ensures profound insight and lasting change. With us, you will learn how to recognize signs of early childhood trauma and how to guide someone towards greater balance, regulation, and basic trust. Throughout this process, there is always attention to your own journey, because you learn to guide more strongly and purely based on your own experience.

An IKEV partnership means more than joining a network. As an official IKEV partner, you are granted the right to professionally teach the CREF method, instruct it, and offer training as a recognized training provider within the IKEV platform. Not everyone can become an IKEV partner. Within IKEV, we deliberately work with a select group of professionals who can uphold and promote the method with quality, integrity, and craftsmanship.
To be eligible for the partnership, it is important that you:
• hold the CREF & Psychosocial Therapist diploma • have successfully completed the IKEV Train-the-Trainer program • are willing to professionally shape your own training institute or academy alongside your own practice • can represent the vision, quality, and values of the CREF method During a personal intake, we will explore together whether: • your background, experience, and expertise align • you can effectively convey the method • the partnership fits within your personal and professional ambitions
In this way, we not only safeguard the quality of the CREF method but also build a powerful and professional IKEV network together. Want to know more about the IKEV partnership? Schedule a selection interview.
