Childcare training

Working as a pedagogical staff member in a baby group in childcare is only possible with additional training. This requirement stems from the IKK Act. Upon successful completion of this course, you will have obtained the specific training qualification for working with 0-year-olds.

This training imparts specific knowledge regarding the formation and development of basic trust. New knowledge about the 7 critical prenatal and perinatal attachment moments, attachment issues, or trauma issues provides the participant with many new tools. Furthermore, it delves deeply into many behavioral manifestations stemming from the attachment period and survival strategies. For instance, it provides answers to panic, anxiety, and anger attacks, physical manifestations, or why there is a great fear of tunnels, roller coasters, and more.

Directly applicable in practice
The knowledge gained from this course can be directly applied in practice within healthcare, youth care, maternity care, education, families, work situations, and organizations. Participants learn in a playful manner to contribute to a safe emotional connection and the stable formation and development of Basic Trust. Through the horse acting as a mirror, each participant comes into contact with his or her own Basic Trust. The CREF Model (life needs) is an important guideline in this course.

  • During the intake, probe the core issues with parents regarding the course of the pregnancy and the birth process;
  • Building Basic Trust in 0-year-olds with play development materials;
  • Recognizing a traumatic birth and preventing PTSD in 0-year-olds;
  • Body language, interactive baby language and recognizing the baby's own input;
  • Learning to recognize (prenatal) attachment patterns and stimulating mutual physical development;
  • Discovering the needs of 0-year-olds and the limbic and cognitive systems;
  • Distinguishing needs, sleep/wake, physiology (need crying and trauma crying);
  • Interaction with 0-year-olds using respectful (lifting) techniques (dressing, lifting, comforting);
  • Recognizing trauma touch points in the body (forceps delivery, caesarean section, and more);
  • Providing parents with conversation techniques and practical tools regarding your observation moments;
  • Development of the infant brain and consequences of prolonged stress or unresolved trauma;
  • Insight into the childcare worker's own needs and self-reflection;
  • Be able to work with the CREF Model at all times;
  • The participant becomes a specialist in the early detection of various forms of attachment and the identification of early birth trauma.
