Basic Knowledge of Prenatal Attachment & Basic Trust study information

The course consists of:

• 2 training days consisting of on-location meetings, one half-day of which uses a horse as a mirror at an IKEV location.
• Access to a digital interactive learning environment for the submission of case studies
• The CREF Model as a guideline for one's own and others' development

Course program:
Training Day 1
Theory on the seven critical prenatal and postnatal attachment moments, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, the brain, and bodily expressions. What happens in the baby's brain and body memory? Which consequences of trauma experiences at the prenatal or postnatal level are visible later in life in basic trust.
Training Day 2
Theory and practice: Basic Trust/No Ground Syndrome. The CREF Model as a reflection of basic trust; Insights into psychological or psychiatric issues. Visualizing your own Basic Trust with the horse as an actor in the context of preventing (counter-)transference and professional attitude.

Results:

• Specialized knowledge regarding the brain, body memory, trauma, and attachment.
• Insight into basic trust and insight into various emotional behaviors;
• Ability to think preventively and more tools regarding attachment
• Learning to recognize (prenatal) attachment patterns and being able to stimulate physical development
• Discovering needs in the limbic and cognitive systems – recognizing trauma touchpoints in the body (forceps delivery, caesarean section, and more)
• Development of the (baby) brain and consequences of prolonged stress or unprocessed trauma
• Insight into one's own needs and being able to view self-reflection from the perspective of the CREF Model.
